Understanding plasma cutting machine

Plasma cutting is a kind of processing method which uses the heat of high temperature plasma arc to make the metal part or part melt (and evaporate) at the cutting point of the workpiece, and removes the molten metal by high speed plasma momentum to form the cutting.
It is the first time in the history of metal processing industry that plasma is obtained from water vapor in a safe, simple, effective, multifunctional and environmentally friendly way to heat the metal with a thickness of more than 0.3 mm (cutting, welding, brazing, quenching, spraying, etc.). Compressed air enters the cutting torch and distribus two ways through the gas chamber, that is, plasma gas and auxiliary gas. The plasma gas arc melts the metal, while the auxiliary gas cools the parts of the torch and blows away the melted metal.

In recent years, foreign manufacturers have developed a new technology called fine plasma or high precision plasma, and domestic manufacturers have introduced it. The effect is better. By improving the design of cutting moment, the quality of workpiece cutting surface is remarkably improved. The verticality of shallow edge can reach 0-1.5 degree, which is especially advantageous to improve the quality of thick plate cutting. Because of improving the cutting gun, the electrode life is increased several times. However, the distance between the cutting gun and the steel plate is required to be higher, and the height sensor on the cutting gun needs to be more sensitive, and the lifting reaction of the cutting gun is faster.
